New Judge Appointed for Shelby County District Court

Gov. Kim Reynolds has appointed Matthew Schuling as the new District Associate Judge for Judicial District 4, which includes Shelby County.

Schuling, currently an assistant attorney general at the Iowa Attorney General’s Office, is a graduate of Coe College and the University of Oregon School of Law. This appointment fills the vacancy left by Hon. Donna Bothwell, who was promoted to District Judge in June.

Judicial District 4 serves nine counties in southwest Iowa, assisting in local legal matters that impact residents of Harlan and surrounding areas.
