Barbara Jean Sorensen, a beloved former resident of Corley, Iowa, passed away on January 30, 2026, at the age of 85 in Elk Horn, Iowa.

Born on June 29, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, Barbara was married to Christian Peter Sorensen. She leaves behind a loving family, including her children Ann Hammer and Karen Sorensen, both of Harlan, Iowa, as well as her son John Sorensen from Denver, Colorado. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Chris Sorensen, and sisters Clare Schwartz and Ann Ramson.

In accordance with her wishes, Barbara will be cremated, and memorial services will be held at a later date.
