Mark Weddle, a beloved Harlan resident and local sports enthusiast, passed away at 64, leaving a legacy cherished by family and friends. Join us in remembering the impact he made in the community and details of the upcoming graveside service.
Mark Thomas Weddle, a longtime resident of Harlan, Iowa, passed away on March 9, 2025, at Avoca Specialty Care. He was born on July 8, 1960, in Covington, Kentucky, and grew up in Harlan, where he graduated from Harlan High School in 1981.
Mark was known for his love of local sports and regularly attended events at the Shelby County Speedway. He worked at Conagra Foods in Council Bluffs until 1992. Mark leaves behind his two sisters, Della Behrendt of Defiance and Donna Weddle of Harlan, along with several nephews and other family members.
A graveside service will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 11 AM at the Harlan Cemetery.
