Remembering Ron Jensen: Harlan Native and Community Pillar

Ronald Keith Jensen, a native of Harlan, Iowa, passed away on October 12, 2025, at the age of 87 in Branson, Missouri, where he had lived since his retirement.

Born on April 18, 1938, to Homer and Mary Jensen, Ron graduated from Harlan High School in 1957 and served in the Army from 1958 to 1962. He married Kathy Eggert on October 8, 1958, in Harlan.

Prior to moving to Branson, Ron worked as a supervisor at IBP, retiring in 1997. An avid NASCAR fan and local stock car racing enthusiast, he was also passionate about football, particularly supporting Iowa State. Ron enjoyed bowling, family vacations, and playing cards.

A dedicated Jehovah’s Witness, he was known for his playful spirit and willingness to help others. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Kathy, and their five children, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
