Wade Arden Mills, a beloved member of the Harlan community, passed away on May 15, 2025, in Brenham, Texas, after battling Lymphoma Cancer. Born on October 28, 1961, at Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan, Wade was a graduate of Harlan Community High School and Iowa Western Community College.
Wade cherished his roots in agriculture, working alongside his father. He was actively involved in 4-H, FFA, and Young Farmers of America. Following 18 years of farming near Harlan, he and his wife, Hollie, owned Sand Bay Resort in Minnesota for 16 years, known for his famously strong black coffee.
Wade is remembered for his warmth and humor, particularly during children's sermons at his son’s church. He is survived by his wife, three sons, and multiple grandchildren, as well as siblings in Harlan.
