Riverside Runners Shine at Harlan Cross Country Invitational

HARLAN – Area cross country teams gathered at the Harlan Golf & Country Club for the annual Harlan Cross Country Invitational on Saturday.

Dawson Henderson from Riverside secured the top local boys' finish, placing 10th with a time of 17:25.55, just ahead of his brother Brody in 11th. Riverside's team took third place overall.

Atlantic's Katrina Williams led the Trojan girls, finishing 43rd to help her team secure a seventh-place finish. Riverside's Ivianaa Schechinger was another standout, finishing 33rd.

Lewis Central dominated the boys' race with four runners in the top 10, while Woodbine trailed by a significant margin.

This event not only showcased local talents but also fostered community support for our young athletes.
