Shelby County Speedway Hosts Relay For Life Night
Shelby County Speedway held the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life night on June 8, raising $655 for cancer research and providing thrilling races for attendees.
The Shelby County Speedway came alive on Saturday, June 8, with the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life night. The event successfully raised $655 through 50-50 ticket sales, contributing to cancer research efforts.
A large crowd enjoyed an evening of exhilarating racing action. Cody Olsen emerged victorious in the Keast Motors IMCA Sport Mods, while Zach Hemmingsen led the KNOD Radio IMCA Hobby Stocks from start to finish.
The Atlantic Bottling Coca-Cola IMCA Sport Compacts saw Anthony Clark clinch another win from the 8th starting spot. Larry Knop dominated the Western Iowa Vintage cars race, and defending champion Mike Nichols powered through the field to win in the Murphy Equipment IMCA Stock Cars. Jesse Sobbing captured the Sorensen Equipment IMCA Late Models win, adding to the night's excitement.
Next week's event, sponsored by Arbor Bank of Oakland and Nutrient AG Solutions of Hancock, will feature a special Father’s Day Farmer Appreciation Night with free grandstand admission. Don't miss out on the action on June 15.
