Atlantic Sweeps Harlan in Boys Tennis
Atlantic blanked Harlan 9-0 in a boys dual Tuesday in Atlantic, taking all six singles matches and all three doubles matches.
At No. 1 singles, Atlantic’s Zayden Parker defeated Harlan’s Kobe Klaasen, 8-4. Preston Harter topped Caden Herbst, 8-4, at No. 2 singles, while Monte Smith earned an 8-5 win over Jonas Reynolds at No. 3. Rayden Wheeler defeated Ramsey Hussing, 8-2, at No. 4, Michael Hocamp won 8-2 over Jameson Arentson at No. 5, and Brock Goodrich beat Dale Scheuring, 8-5, at No. 6.
In doubles, Parker and Wheeler defeated Klaasen and Reynolds, 8-5, at No. 1. Harter and Goodrich topped Herbst and Scheuring, 8-2, at No. 2, and Smith and Hocamp downed Hussing and Arentson at No. 3.
Atlantic will host an eight-team tournament Wednesday. Harlan is scheduled to travel to Clarinda on Thursday.
