Duane “Fuzz” Christensen, a beloved member of the Harlan community, passed away on September 10, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on June 14, 1937, on the family farm east of Harlan, Duane was a dedicated farmer and a prominent figure in local agricultural circles.

A member of the Harlan FFA, Duane’s contributions to the community were recognized when he was inducted into the Shelby County Fair Hall of Fame in 2001. He shared 54 years of marriage with his late wife, Marlene, and they actively supported their children in various local events, including 4-H and FFA activities.

Known for his passion for Allis-Chalmers tractors, Duane was a familiar face at local shows and events. His legacy includes not only his agricultural work but also the relationships he cultivated within the community.

Private graveside services will take place at Bowman’s Grove Cemetery in rural Harlan. Memorials can be sent to his family to support organizations he cherished.
