Delores Schaben, a cherished member of the Harlan community, passed away at the age of 92. A Mass of Christian Burial is set for Saturday, September 21st, at 10 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Earling, followed by burial at the church cemetery. Visitation will take place on Friday, September 20th, from 4:30 to 7 PM, with a Rosary at 7 PM.
Born on September 8, 1932, in rural Scranton, Delores grew up near Mt. Carmel and married Charlie Schaben in 1956. They raised their family while farming near Earling before relocating to Harlan in 2005.
Delores was known for her exceptional cooking and sewing skills, particularly her beloved cinnamon rolls and handcrafted quilts. She enjoyed fishing, card games, and travel, but valued family time the most.
