Cyclones Clutch Win Over Glenwood, Set Eyes on Atlantic

The HCHS Cyclones girls basketball team bounced back from a home loss against St. Albert with a solid 60-45 victory over the Glenwood Rams this Tuesday. Head Coach Zach Klaassen praised the team's performance, stating they executed well on both offense and defense.

Senior Aubrey Schwieso led the scoring with 26 points, while fellow senior Grace Albertsen added 17 points and contributed significantly on defense. Klaassen highlighted Albertsen's efforts, noting her blocked shots and key plays inside the paint.

After a strong start that saw the Cyclones leading 18-7 at the end of the first quarter and 30-19 at halftime, the defense proved pivotal in the second half, limiting Glenwood's scoring opportunities.

The Cyclones are set to face the Atlantic Trojans this Friday at home. Coach Klaassen emphasized the importance of controlling the Trojans' leading scorer, Paytn Harter, to secure another win.
