Join the fun at the 42nd Annual Carstens Farm Days on September 7 and 8 at the Carstens 1880 Farmstead, located just south of I-80 Exit 34 in Shelby, Iowa. This beloved local event celebrates Iowa's farming heritage with live demonstrations of antique farm equipment, a variety of unique exhibits, and crafts.
The event runs from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm each day, featuring a parade of classic cars, tractors, and trucks at 2 pm. Visitors can explore over 250 vintage tractors, steam engines, and participate in traditional farming demonstrations such as threshing and corn picking.
Live music, including performances by the Flatwater Drifters, will entertain throughout the weekend, while nearly 100 vendors offer crafts, toys, and food. Don’t miss the delicious pancake breakfast starting at 6:30 am and dinner options in the evenings.
Admission is $10 per day for guests ages nine and older. Come and enjoy a weekend filled with history, family fun, and local community spirit!
