Sears has demonstrated exceptional skill on the mound, boasting a 2.16 ERA and a remarkable 9-1 record. His 101 strikeouts over 104 innings place him among the top pitchers in the nation, ranking fifth nationally in ERA and WHIP. Additionally, Sears is the first Nebraska pitcher since 1999 to secure a 9-0 record and the first since 2008 to achieve over 100 strikeouts in a season.
