The Harlan City Council convened on November 20, 2024, to address several important community matters.
A key agenda item was the announcement of a public hearing set for December 3rd. This hearing will focus on the proposed amended Urban Revitalization Plan, which aims to enhance local economic development through tax abatement.
The Council also approved a resolution to vacate city-owned property in the original town of Harlan, and finalized a purchase agreement with Debra Dinesen Moore.
Furthermore, they reviewed the completion of the HHPC Downtown Upper Story & Facade Grant, while also approving the city’s Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year 2023/2024.
