Vintons Honored for Lifelong 4-H Contributions in Iowa

Steve and Carol Vinton have been recognized for their exceptional contributions to 4-H in Iowa, being inducted into the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame on August 18 at the State Fair. Carol, who began her own 4-H journey as a young girl in Shelby County, expressed pride in the family legacy of leadership in the program, noting that her daughters and grandchildren are now involved as well.

The Vintons have been dedicated members and leaders of the Country Cousins 4-H Club, engaging their community through various agricultural projects. Even after the passing of Steve in July 2023, Carol remains active, serving on the Mills County Board of Supervisors and judging at 4-H events. The couple's enduring impact on youth education and their passion for agriculture continue to inspire many in the community.
